IMPORTANT: THE INVITE RECIPIENT MUST FIRST CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON THE SKYBELL GEN5 APP IN ORDER TO ACCEPT AN INVITATION.
Inviting a Guest
- Open the SkyBell app
- Open the My Devices page (button on the lower left of the screen with a house icon)
- Find your SkyBell and open the Device Settings (gear/cogwheel icon ⚙️ to the right of your SkyBell's name)
- Look for the section called SHARING and tap the button that says # Current Guests
- Tap Invite someone
- Enter of the email address of the guest's SkyBell account
- The recipient of the invite will receive an email with the invitation
Accepting the Invitation
- The guest recipient will receive an invitation via their registered SkyBell email address
- Open the SkyBell invitation email
- Tap/click on the Accept Invite button to accept the invitation
- Pressing the invite button will open your web browser
- Log in with your SkyBell account in order to accept the invite
- Upon successful login, you will see a message advising you to check the SkyBell app
- The SkyBell should now appear in your app's My Devices page
Allowing guests to adjust SkyBell settings:
BY DEFAULT, GUESTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ADJUST SKYBELL DEVICE SETTINGS.
- Open the SkyBell app
- Open the My Devices page (button on the lower left of the screen with a house icon)
- Find your SkyBell and open the Device Settings (gear/cogwheel icon ⚙️ to the right of your SkyBell's name)
- Look for the section called SHARING and tap the button that says # Current Guests
- Under CURRENT GUESTS, tap the guest account you want to adjust permissions for
- Disable Read Only if you want that account to be able to adjust the SkyBell's device settings
- Tap SAVE CHANGES
