Selecting Basic
Depending on the model of SkyBell, your device motion sensor can detect motion, human bodies, or faces that enter your SkyBell’s field of vision. Here you can tune the motion detection to avoid triggering false notifications, but sensitive enough to detect the things you want notifications for.
Notify Me: enables notifications when a threshold is exceeded.
Start Recording: enables an activity video to be stored in your activity list.
Motion Sensitivity: This slider allows you to adjust how sensitive your SkyBell sensors.
After your changes are made, select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
Selecting Advanced
Depending on the model of SkyBell, your device motion sensor can detect motion, human bodies, or faces that enter your SkyBell’s field of vision. Here you can tune the motion detection to avoid triggering false notifications, but sensitive enough to detect the things you want notifications for.
There are several options available with the Advanced Settings, and you can pick and chose what variables will trigger the motion sensor on your SkyBell.
Because of the nature of advanced settings, be mindful of instructions giving contradictory instructions to the SkyBell. If at any time you want to start over, you can always tap, Reset To Defaults, Clear Motion Rules, Chose from Preset Rules, or tap on Basic at the top of the page.
After your changes are made, select Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
