The SkyBell app allows users to share media and limited account access via an email link, however sometimes the receiving party does not receive the link. Typically when this happens, it's due to the receiving email spam filter and spam settings blocking or filtering out the email.
There are a couple of actions the receiving party can do to teach their email spam filter to allow the SkyBell email.
1) Safe-list the SkyBell email address. Most email providers use their integrated address book as a safe-list. Meaning, any email address in the address book gets to bypass the inbound spam filter. Have the recipient go to their email and add this address to their contacts: automated@myskybell.com Once automated@myskybell.com is safe-listed, have the sender go back to Manage Sharing in the mobile app, delete the pending invite and, retype it in. |
2) Send a message to automated@myskybell.com If the invite still does not appear in the recipients inbox, have the recipient send a blank email to automated@myskybell.com, this also teaches the recipients spam filter that emails from the SkyBell app can be trusted. |
