Firmware Definition: Permanent software programmed into a read only memory (ROM on the SkyBell unit itself).
Software Definition: The programs and other operating information used by a computer (The SkyBell App and what runs on our servers).
Hardware Definition: Machines, wiring and other physical components of an electronic system (The SkyBell itself).
Note: Firmware is the system coding that gets loaded onto the hardware of each SkyBell. In order for new app update features to work, software updates need to be released as well.
